What’s the best, most relaxing hotel to escape to for one or two night in Eastern England? Good food, quiet country setting, romantic vibe, and excellent bathing please.

We've stayed at Knights Hill before, we had a lovely upgraded room with massive corner jacuzzi bath and walk-in shower. Just outside Kings Lynn.

Old Hall Country Breaks - it’s not a hotel, it’s a BnB, but they can essentially create a hotel like experience for you while you’re there. It’s beautiful, the service is some of the best I’ve ever experienced, and if you go for the coach house you’ll have a roll top bath in the bedroom. Heaven.

Some nice suggestions here. Thank you.

Stayed at Knights Hill years ago when children were small. Hadn’t thought about it as a place to escape but perhaps it’s changed?

Edited

Looks gorgeous but perhaps a bit on the pricey side for us. There are a couple of other hotels with spas at Rutland that I had been looking at. Don’t suppose you popped into either of those while you were there?

Damn it’s booked up for our dates. Perhaps next time?

I don't know if it's changed @Bandycoot12 it's a while since we were there. I think the upgrade to a suite room or whatever they call it definitely helped a nice weekend away!
I noticed you asked about Rutland. I was a member at Barnsdale many years ago. There's a hotel close to the flooded church (or there was!) that was supposed to be very nice, on the shore of the reservoir.
