I think I would let him go, there is way better than this out there.

Velvetbee · 04/04/2025 08:03

Dump him. It’s not working for you, you want more commitment which is perfectly reasonable.

Idontjetwashthefucker · 04/04/2025 08:29

Sounds like he's putting his kids first which is commendable...your choice whether you accept this

Cantabulous · 04/04/2025 09:03

He keeps dumping you?? Then says you can make it work if you comply with his conditions? That’s not your partner, that’s your controller.

AttilaTheMeerkat · 04/04/2025 09:06

Ask yourself why this relationship has been at all acceptable to you. Be someone's priority, not an option to be picked up and dumped at will. Want more for your own self; get therapy if necessary for low esteem. Love your own self for a change.

Bananalanacake · 04/04/2025 09:10

Thank god he doesn't live with you

Idontjetwashthefucker · 04/04/2025 09:30

Actually having re-read your post, can I ask what his reasons are for dumping you and not staying over? Do you have kids?

Sulu17 · 04/04/2025 09:32

He doesn't like you very much. Find someone who likes you a whole lot more.

You’re his booty call not his partner.

MayaPinion · 04/04/2025 11:09

He’s trying to get you to dump him. If he really wanted to spend time with you he’d make the time. Men aren’t that complicated.

eone · 04/04/2025 11:19

You are wasting your time with him. You deserve so much better than that, he won't give you stability and security. Let him be busy with his life. If he wanted to spend some time with you, he would find a way do do it, still with plenty time spent with his children and everything else. He is not that into you x

Idontjetwashthefucker · 04/04/2025 11:20

Doesn't sound like he's got time for a relationship but he has been messing you around. Don't give him the option to dump you again, do it first, and mean it

BodenCardiganNot · 04/04/2025 11:21

It's probably just as well that at least one of the adults in this 'relationship' seems to be trying to put his children first.

LurcherMumma · 04/04/2025 11:22

PinkElephantsOnParade2025 · 04/04/2025 11:07

You’re his booty call not his partner.

This. My exact thought.

Do you think this would ever change long term? It doesn't seem worth it. It doesn't feel like a relationship at all.

Dery · 04/04/2025 11:25

Whatever you feel for him, he doesn’t love you. You don’t keep dumping someone you love. Don’t let someone treat you badly just because you care for them.

FidosMum84 · 04/04/2025 16:33

He’s just not that interested in you. Otherwise he would prioritise you to some extent after 2 years and family holidays together.
I agree with PP’s that he’s reduced your time together to such an extent he’s hoping that you’ll now leave. Which you probably should. He’ll likely ghost you next if you don’t end it.

I was in the same situation and walked away a few months ago. Someone who told me he loved me has never been heard from since…. So it’s clear he didn’t. Men say what they need to in order to get their needs met.

GabriellaMontez · 11/07/2025 19:33

I dont know how you can be in the same room as him.
