I’m curious to know how couples/families work their finances. What do you do with yours and your partners wages? Do you have joint accounts? Do you keep some money to yourselves a month?

2 joint accounts
dhs wages go into one and mine into another.

his pays all the bills, mine pays for days out, treats, birthday, Christmas , holidays etc.

we both have the same amount into our own spending accounts each month. Dh spends, I save!

Both wages into one account, standing orders set up to transfer a set amount to a second joint account for bills, and another one for savings. What’s left we both spend as we wish, but we discuss it if one of us wants something particularly expensive.

We're married but have separate accounts. Bills, mortgage, nursery fees etc are all split 50/50 and then whatever left over is ours. I'm the higher earner so have more left over.

Joint account that we both pay into and all bills come out of. Salaries paid into personal accounts then transfer the necessary into the joint account which has all the direct debits
