I dated someone like Kyle Clifford. He won't leave me alone and worried.

I've been in touch with the police. Even reported rape. I'm too scared to pursue pressing charges and a criminal investigation. Reading between the lines, the police have said they can only really protect me if things escalate. He's launched a smear campaign and won't accept that I broke up with him. He's sent messages again from a new contact saying he wants to see me and to chat. I'm too scared to block him for what he'll do to me or my family.

Contact the police again, ask them to complete the domestic violence check list with you.

Put in ab application for Claires Law disclosure. This will alert them to his history, including incidents where he didn't get a conviction.

Make sure you have taken off all the location/social media check ins/tell everyone you know not to tag you in anything.

Get ring doorbell for where you live, and make sure all of your windows etc are locked.

Make sure that work know you have a stalker, and let your neighbours know.

Contact the stalking helpline and local domestic abuse service asap

If you have children, make sure they don't answer the door at all. Even to people they know.

Make sure you can leave the property and have shoes/phone etc to hand.

Op Attend the Police station who took the complaint and are supposed to be investigating this dreadful issue.

Ask to speak to the Duty Inspector. They are duty bound to take the issue on board.

Stop being scared and escalate this with the police now. Get a non mol. People like this rely on you cowering in your home. This happened to me years ago and after I finished with the coward he wished he'd never been born.
