Please explain Bumble to me

I’m on bumble and have paid for the premium level (1 month only!) but am I missing something?

How the hell do I message someone?
If I swipe right and ‘like’ them, their profile just disappears into the thin air. Am I supposed to wait in case they like me back?

I’m totally lost with this…

It's why I don't touch those former two! 'Hello gorgeous' from 60 year old men, no thank you.

Agreed. My one foray into POF I was getting messages from men pushing 80 - I’m in my 50’s - who resembled Dobby

You can give a compliment to anyone but you can only message if you match.

Personally I think Bumble premium is a waste of money - you get very little that you don’t get on the free version

I did it for a month because you get unlimited likes. I spent 15/20 minutes a day ruthlessly churning through profiles. Its a numbers game- I found the free version didnt give me enough likes to convert into matches

OP men outside your distance/age settings can still like you.

I think some men have their settings as any age any distance as I’ve had men liking me who live 100’s of miles away and are decades older or younger.
