Feeling sad over sons breakup

That's it really... my son has been with a lovely girl for 6 years. All through uni and then travelling and first career job. Things haven't been right for a few months and she needs time to think. It's been over 2 weeks now so I think it's all over. She had become part of the family so I'm sad for him and sad for all of us really. Hand holding needed please 😔

Handhold from me to you
It's so hard isn't it when they break up with someone theyve been with for so long. That person has become a part of your family.
You need to support your son but also let yourself be sad, that's ok. It's like a grieving process.

Just to reassure you that I have been in your shoes with my ds and he came out the other side, he now has a new girlfriend who he's been with for over a year now and she's even lovelier than the last one!!!
