Should you trust your gut feeling?

So there’s a couple we know, and meet up with sporadically. Maybe 2/3 times a year, and I’ll meet the woman a few times alone. It’s usually for dog walks as we both have dogs similar ages.

I’ve always noticed something between my husband and the other woman. Nothing major, or in your face, they just seem to get on really well. Very chatty, and the odd ‘look’. I’ve asked him in the past if he finds her attractive and he said no, but he liked her personality, saying she was very mature.

A few months go I met her and she was telling me about how flirty she is with some of the men at her work. Sexual innuendos etc and then telling me 1 particular man was ‘so fit’. This really shocked me as she had never come across as acting like this, It was almost like I was talking to a different person. She also said something about going out without her boyfriend so she could chat with men.

Anyway, the 4 of us met again the other day for a dog walk. It was mainly me and her chatting, and my husband and her boyfriend chatting, but her and my husband did walk off a couple of times. It’s just got me looking at her and the situation completely different. I’m thinking they both fancy each other. Which I guess is ok as long as they’re not flirting etc. but it’s just made me wonder whether I want my husband round her anymore.

Am I being ridiculous and going over the top? Or would anyone feel the same?

I think when you have a gut feeling about someone or something, it is your body picking up tiny signs, that aren't immediately obvious. I would trust your gut.

The situation maybe completely harmless, but I would limit contact - at least only meet up as a four and keep an eye on things. If she gets flirty with your husband, I would say something immediately.

I think the fact that you don’t meet up that often is a good thing. But yes watch out because she sounds like trouble to me and has no loyalties.
you could gradually cut down meeting her to nothing in the end.

YANBU

Avoid.

The thing is she was never like this, which is 1 of the reasons I got on with her. I don’t understand why she’s changed so much. And it’s not like she’s arguing or anything with her boyfriend. Things seem normal between them.

Having encountered a few women who behaved similarly before, I would avoid altogether.

Finding your husband attractive and getting on well is not an issue but she is literally telling you who she is.

Agree totally.

for some women it’s a sort of kink - how far can I go in plain sight, or their partner gets off on it. Plus why even put temptation near?

I would avoid socialising with her. She sounds trouble.
