Please help I think the best thing for me & my partner would be to split up but I currently breastfeed my baby how would contact work in that respect because he won’t take a bottle, advice needed for a very upset & worried mum who just wanted a nice loving dad/family for her baby 😢 I’m hoping we can maybe last together for a couple more years until he’s a bit older at least because the thought of not being with my baby is absolutely killing me

Family courts take into consideration that some babies are exclusively breast fed but even for those that are not breast fed, the best contact arrangement for babies is to stay with the primary care giver (mum in this case) because their main developmental job is to form a healthy and strong attachment. However, a strong attachment is also beneficial with the other parent, so the best arrangement would be that baby stays with you with "short but often" bursts of contact with dad.
