I didn’t open the box but I really want to go back and open it. I can’t contain my excitement and I had to tell someone but didn’t want to ruin it by telling anyone in real life 🤣

Aw I love these threads. I found the receipt for mine and he had planned a weekend away for my birthday so I thought it would happen then.

Every single romantic moment I held my breath and it didn’t happen. I laugh now - but we were sat around a fire, the sun was setting and he said he was popping in to get some marshmallows to toast, you can imagine my surprise when he actually came back out with marshmallows 🤣

I had actually given up and had almost forgotten about it when we were walking down the beach on our last day and bam - he got onto one knee. He was waiting for the right time ❤️ you have to just try and push this to the back of your head as hard as it is 😬

Ah the receipt, no way!! Maybe I should snoop for the receipt, see how much I’m worth 🤣🤣🤣

I really really want to be caught off guard and surprised so I’m going to try my absolute hardest to forget it has happened. This is why I didn’t want to tell any of my friends or family in real life as it makes it more “real” then!

@Ooopsifoundit nope I never told him! I never actually told anyone, it’s a secret I will take to my grave apart from on here 🤣 unfortunately now you will be on edge until it happens - but just let it happen the way he wants it to and it’ll be perfect!

I seem to remember DH looking after a ring for ages for a friend in the early 2000s because he was afraid he’d lose it moving house. I think we had it for the best part of a year — can’t remember why!
