Why are some people just intense ?

Nature or nurture

a bit of both I guess

thinking new year, new start and there’s a couple of people I like, care about, but boy are they intense

One I know has had a difficult upbringing and family issues
so that makes sense
I do feel for her

other other I’ve no clue

The people I know who are intense are either ND or had a bad childhood etc. or on substances

I have very intense relatives.
Severe anxiety is the reason for it.

It’s suffocating and very very irritating.

Im sorry to say but I avoid them as much as possible. I just can’t breathe around them.

I used to be intense until I got older and had my Dd, not sure why that changes things really..maybe so tired I cba to be intense, I have less energy for it.
I was a very good friend, but looking back, I cringe, I was intense, now, i’m a lot less bothered about things and just more laid back. It creeps back in sometimes, but I recognise and have a word with myself.
I suspect I may be autistic, not sure if this has a bearing on it, I used to be v anxious too
I hope I don’t go back to being like that when Dd is a bit more grown up and I have more time and space to overthink and be in my own head more

Difficult childhood, temperament. Could be many things.
I have such acquaintances but tbh keep them at arm’s length and see them 1-2 tumes per month but make sure that is in a wider group. They have good qualities but can’t be around them too long and no way I am going to resolve their issues.
