How do you overcome it? It’s not possible to split up but I’m really struggling . My hormones are all over the place and I’m exhausted and it’s like constant PMT but more intense and I’ve heard people describe’the ick’ and I think that’s what it is ?

My gp refuses as my bloods are all normal , scans normal , periods regular, ovulation confirmed FSH ok etc. But my cycles have got shorter, heavier, I’m losing hair , I’m exhausted and anxious and I just know it’s the start but they won’t help me

I was 45. At 45 bloods mean nothing.

I just don’t know what to do I feel like I can’t be around dh at all. I could happily sit by myself forever as I’m so irritated by everything

I started similar ( but no ick, still got a libido, though irrelevant as single at moment) at about 49. Still having fairly regular periods 4 years on, only heavier, more painful, and often only 26 days apart (though last one was 31days) had an idea longer this time, as my breasts are a magic guide to ovulation these days - sore from the day after until period. So yea, 4 years of thinning hair, body aches etc so far, with no end in sight. I feel your pain. Aiming to try drinking more as in bad habbit of only having a few coffees over 12 hour shifts and the pain my body is in in the last couple of hours makes me want cry from the exhaustion of it all. Could well be dehydration- have you considered upping your fluid intake? Can't hurt.

See a different GP who isn’t so dismissive.

I had similar to you at 45 I went on the mini pill for a good few years and it helped me it stop my bleeding and I went through the menopause on that I’m 57 now all good and loving life

I started treatment for peri menopause at 42....my gp said bloods aren't used as an indicator under 45 as unreliable.

I first went to see her at 41 and was referred to an nhs menopause clinic.

The waiting list was pretty long and ended up going private (my employers private medical insurance covered it). Think the cost was around £250ish with bupa and all it was a telephone consultation and they gave me a prescription. I now get patches on repeat from my nhs gp.

Totally understand not everyone can afford a private consultation (I could've have myself of it wasn't funded). But my point is that my nhs gp put me on a menopause clinic waiting list at age 41 without blood tests. If you get a more menopause experienced gp it can make a massive difference
