Probably not the right place to ask this but the other thread about condoms reminded me to ask.
DH had the snip in January. He is supposed to provide some samples of you-know-what, a couple of months apart, for testing. I think the first one was supposed to be done two or three months after the op, which means he should have done it already.
HOWEVER . . . the leaflet from the clinic suggests that before testing, we "flush the system" through [their words] 15 - 20 times. Well, sorry, we're trying but we've got three kids, including a new baby and we haven't even got a bedroom to ourselves at the moment !! I think we might have managed 15 times since January, but not 20
Does anyone think that matters? Surely if sperm can only survive in your fanjo for 48 hours they can't survive in a man's tubes for three months? Or am I being supremely ignorant?
I know the simple answer is to test and see but DH is reluctant to go through the test if it's too soon, yet I am fed up with sodding condoms and would like a bit of spontaneity back (maybe we'd reach the magic 20 then, whoopee)
Any advice would be welcome.
