I think I need to leave my partner but I don’t know where me and my daughter would go

To give a bit of background, I’ve been with my partner for 3 years, lived together for a year and a half but he owns the house and I’m not on the mortgage.

We have the most amazing daughter who’s 13 months and he’s a great father, but not a great boyfriend.

I’m currently working part time, but I don’t earn enough to support myself and my daughter let alone afford somewhere for us to live and I’m unable to move in with my mum as she only has a 1 bedroom house.

My daughter was a complete surprise, an amazing one at that but I know for sure we wouldn’t be together if it wasn’t for her.
I honestly don’t think I’ve been happy in the relationship since before she was born.

He’s not a bad person, I just feel like I’ve had my spirit crushed being with him due to lots of little put downs and very little kind words. But I don’t know what to do or where to go if I leave him.

What should I do?

Does he know how his words and actions make you feel? I’m sure if someone spoke to your daughter that way he’d have none of it. If so you need to look after your health and your daughter and leave. You’re her mummy and she will look to you. Get in touch with your local social housing explain the situation that you will have nowhere to go, they can offer better advice and hopefully help with a plan. Take care.

Can you go to work full time? He will have to pay child maintenance but that may not cover even half the costs.

I’ve told him many times how he makes me feel but he either turns things around onto me or completely dismisses things. I’m planning to have another talk with him tonight but I’m unsure how it will go and I highly doubt anything will change.
Thats one of my biggest reasons for wanting to leave, my parents were in a very unhappy relationship and I don’t want my daughter to go through what I did

In theory yes, but currently I work 27 hours over 4 days, full time hours in my place of work is 35 and the extra pay doesn’t balance out for the extra day of childcare if that makes sense.
