I have no idea why I'm even thinking this on a Saturday night while watching strictly 🙈

He picks up dc and he doesnt even smile at him, he's emotionless, he looks pissed off , surly when you've not seen your child all week you could manage a smile!!! He's the same on drop off. Isn't smileing when you greet someone a basic human reaction?

I think he comes for dc out of obligation now( whole other thread) He's such a narcissist and so completely closed off emotionally, so I don't know why im surprised.

It makes me wonder how happy he really is because he's not even hiding how miserable he is.

Maybe she wasn't as nice and shiney as he thought, maybe he cba with getting dc or maybe I'm talking shit.

Sorry don't know why I've even posted 🤣 just needed get t off my chest

More than like not… the grass isn’t always greener on the other side

He’s made his bed, let him lie in it and put his happiness to back of your mind .

focus on your happiness

He's utterly miserable, it radiates off him, he said he had an affair because he must not have been happy ( must not or weren't?) well if he wasn't happy with me then christ know what he is now 🤣

I will focus my energy else where just got me abit today!

If he is who you think he is he can’t do long term relationships. The most interest you can hope for is to be re idealised and discarded on an endless loop. If he ever feels whimsical for you it’s because you let him take his crap out on you in a way she doesn’t. Hardly the loving union you thought he offered at the start.

CautiousLurker · 21/09/2024 21:32

sounds as though he’s miserable - my concern would be: is he like this throughout his contact time with DC? If so, that needs addressing. Poor kids.

TheCultureHusks · 21/09/2024 21:35

Some people are never happy, always looking outside to be entertained, distracted, given a buzz. Hence affairs -quite common in this type. sadly, the other affair partner is always them, so they carry the disappointment with them…

OhDearMuriel · 21/09/2024 21:48

Sounds like he's made his bed and he doesn't like lying in it.

What would concern me is how he is with your DC.

Does your DC enjoy being with him or does his bad mannered, can't be arsed low mood, hurt and affect your DC?

whymewhyme · 22/09/2024 13:34

We've had no end of up and down and upset where dc is concerned, mainly due to his lack of imput and not prioritising him.

Dc still hasn't got over the split.

He no longer sleeps over, which was his choice, and his father accepted this, so he only goes for the day now.

How old is DC? I'd be saying they don't have to go if they don't want to.

whymewhyme · 22/09/2024 14:29

He is 8, he wants to see him but day time only being away from me overnight is just too much.
