Good grief, @Flute56 it's really none of her business.

How strange.

Then said to her that would be very rude I can't do that and then she said to me what if you don't then you're just as bad as her and I then said those things are not hurting the cat and if they were they wouldn't make them and they would be taken off the market and she said people have no idea what's good or bad and unless you tell them they will carry on doing things to harm the animal

She sees it like this if someone had a cat and they were starving the cat and not feeding the cat properly would you say something because that is not right that is not the right way to treat an animal animals need to get enough food and water or would you say well it's not my cat it's none of my business and walk off and leave them to do what they want and then you find out that the cat has died due to malnutrition

she sounds awful, she is very rude & judgmental. If she knew anything about cats, she would know that they do what they like. Cats who don’t like wearing collars will find a way to get them off

She actually told me that her cat didn't like wearing a collar and found a way to get the collar off but this particular caps doesn't seem to mind but my friends seems to think that it's cruel to put this around the cat's neck I would get rid of this friend who's making all of these comments but what he's stopping me is that at certain times she can be extremely nice and friendly so I think to myself well she's not bad all the time so I'll give her another chance

My friend and I have had a chat about things and we're back on track and you only way we can get on is if I don't tell her much of my life and different things anymore so she can't judge so she can't judge on things she doesn't know anything about so if I know what you will judge about then I will stay off those topics

It's all gone pear shapes again I rent from social housing and I told my friend that I'm moving to a lower floor because of health reasons and she said to me why are you doing that your sponging you should get yourself a mortgage I've basically had enough it's one dig after another

And when I pull her up and challenge her on something she denies it when she said to me you shouldn't wear a skirt above the knee you're too old and then when I challenge her about it she said oh I didn't say you shouldn't wear it of course she damn welded she said I'm too old to wear a shortest skirt and now she denies ever saying that she said to me oh I didn't say you shouldn't wear it I just said I didn't like it bloody liar

If I don't talk about the things that I am doing or planning to do we get on very well but as soon as I mentioned what I want to do or what I'm currently doing she makes snide remarks and digs and I think it's out of jealousy I think she's jealous of me

She's not a friend
Fade her out if you can't tell her straight

It's difficult to feed someone out that you've been friends with for over 40 years

She assumes she is a good friend because the other day she asked me to play badminton with her and we did and the week before we went out for coffee. 😕

It's non of your friends business and it's your concern.

Personally, I don't like collars - one of my cats is a huge boy and even the vet couldn't get a cone collar around his neck after he was neutered.

Also he's a tree climber and I've read stories about collars catching.

I didn't read the entire thread, I got as far as wedding dresses.

Sounds very stressful! Do you have other friends or family that you can talk to when you're stressed?
