Need some advice

Me and partner have been going through a hard time for various reasons and recently, he's developed mentionitis about someone in work.

Started with constantly mentioning her, now it's a group chat with "taking the piss" which looks more like flirting.

He doesn't message me during the day or open messages but sends in the work chat during work and when I'm here (made sure I didn't see him sending anything).

Now it pushing for a night out with work and insisting I go (not sure why I'd want to go out with people I don't know when they'll sit and talk about people I don't know). Don't fancy going to watch him flirt with someone else.

Need some advice as I've felt like I need to let him go for a while but can't bring myself to do it :(

Well it's no surprise you havn't been getting along if his attention has been going elsewhere.

And your last comment of needing to let him go sounds like someone who is being pushed into ending the relationship, he's provoking you.

I would have a conversation with him and explain that his friendship is making you feel uncomfortable, then at least if the union does end he will know he and his friend will understand their behaviour hasn't gone unoticed.

Are you married, do you have children ?

Why would he invite you to a work event if he was flirting with someone else?

If You want to break up with him just break up with him. You don’t need an excuse.
