My dysfunctional family

I'm a member of a terribly dysfunctional but not abusive family, although I didn't really appreciate it until 13 or so years ago (I'm now in my early 60s).

I find reading the Stately Homes threads on Mumsnet absolutely fascinating, and the whole variety of ways in which families can be dysfunctional or broken endlessly interesting.

Do you think there is a market for a book on this subject? Just a simple anthology of a collection of interviews with people of different ages, cultures and backgrounds describing the ways in which their families are not functioning as they would have hoped?

It wouldn't be childhood misery lit, as I think that market is already booming, sadly. Something a bit more "everyday" (for want of a better word) that more average people can relate to.

Be interested to hear anyone's thoughts, or indeed if such a book or website already exists.

There probably would be. I can't believe anyone wants to read those awful child abuse books but some people obviously do.

There are literally 100's if not thousands of books on the subject, also excellent podcasts, support groups, YouTube etc. The best/most helpful are listed at the beginning of the stately homes thread. I can't see what another book could possibly add. Personal experiences/biographies is also a saturated market.
