Hi,

So as my husband decided to get himself a girlfriend whilst we were married, I figured he’s never coming back to be part of our family. So….after six months, I’m ready to start looking for my Mr Right 2.0 again! This time I have standards!

I do not want a quick one night stand! I’d love a decent guy.

what apps are good? Not Tinder! I downloaded that and a man wearing a hospital gown looking like a vampire put me off!!!!

Hi…. I know this is random but it’s now nearly a year since I went on my first date with a ‘random’ I met on Elite Singles. We chatted for about a month before meeting which was great for me and he took me out. He’s honestly amazing. I got so lucky. When I was in a spin after finding my husband cheated, I was told to write down what I wanted from a partner. I stuck to it and found someone who matches that secret list I wrote.

I just wanted to say, maybe online dating isn’t so bad! Xxx he was the only one I dated so I don’t have any funny stories!

What a great update. Congrats! I replied to your post 10 months ago bemoaning OLD and since then I’ve had countless underwhelming OLD dates but then met someone out in the wild ~3 months ago! Totally random. I think it’s important to be open to meeting people organically while doing OLD. In any case, looks like we’ve both discovered that the dating pool isn’t a complete disaster even in one’s 30s and 40s. 🥳

This is exactly what I needed to hear today. It gives me hope that I might meet someone too. Just got to actually go on the apps now 😂
