Please help feeling at a loss. ex-partner and I have split up. We have 3 DCs together. House sale is to be split 50/50 as we are both on the mortgage. However he has thousands of savings (saved since we’ve been together) and also car is in his name so he is taking this, I barely have enough to last me the month so never save a penny. Where do I stand with this? we are not married, will I be entitled to anything other than child maintenance? I came into this relationship with my own car paid off and savings yet am leaving with nothing

Basic starting rule is that you start at 50/50. So you split savings, cars etc down the middle. Then pension values and if a big difference then offset ie. 60/40.

Not true because they are not married…

Thanks for the replies. So entitled to nothing? Really trying to avoid going to a solicitor if it’s not worth it

Would think only your share of the house sadly as you’re not not married

You are entitled to half the house. Nothing else.
He has to pay child maintenance .
That's it OP.

They are not married. She's not entitled to anything except from the sale of the home.
