Avoidant partner

we had an argument about two weeks ago.
hes been quiet (responding only to direct questions since) apart from when I went to his house on Monday and put my cards on the table.
he’s been nearly silent since.
any advice?
Let him leave? Don’t bother with this rubbish?

Is he avoidant or abusive? I used to make the avoidant excuse for my ex... turns out he was a gaslighting narcissist and I was in denial of it all.

I would text him and say 'I've noticed you've been quiet lately and I'm going to give you space to think over whatever is on your mind. Reach out when you feel ready to talk' then go live your life. If he decides to talk then great but don't put you life on hold.

Depends on how you were towards him when you last spoke. You said you laid cards on the table following a fall out? I won't jump to any conclusions, but is that even possible without giving some sort of ultimatum? Could be wrong, you know the details. But going quiet suggests he's still upset over something and doesn't feel safe to talk right now.

If you're not happy waiting around for his mood to lift give him the space he needs. Avoidant or not, guys internalise their feelings because most don't like being vulnerable. It's unsafe. How your man is could stem from childhood but that's not your issue to solve.

Give him and yourself some space. Leave it for a while - he'll want to reconnect when you're less available.

I have an immediate, very strong opinion, but I think more information is needed. What was the argument about? How have you communicated with him since? Calmly or with aggression?

Don't bother talking to him again.

He's rude.

This is stone walling & yes it’s a form of abuse. He also just sounds like a little sulky baby dump this loser!!
