Sent 'D'H a saucy text and he's left me on read

Ok so in short: I sent my husband a slightly sexy WhatsApp whilst he was at work (he has access to his phone and replies sometimes to random stuff) anyway, he's read it and not replied...not even an emoji-nothing.

I'm struggling tbh-it's like a cycle-he sulks if he doesn't get sex then when he does (last night) he goes back to being an arse.

Am I being over sensitive?

ofc you are not being ‘over sensitive’ because it’s clearly a sore spot for your relationship and your feelings matter

When is he due to finish work? He might be waiting for a quiet moment to reply somewhere where he won’t be disturbed.

however if it is a genuinely cold reaction: i have heard of some men wanting their other halves to act like nymphomaniacs but then when the woman actually imitated something- they became awkward or suspicious.

i know a friend went through a dry spell with her husband and then at all of her initiations would assume that she was just performing/wanted stuff from him/had an ulterior motive because issues had built up over time.

is this out of character for you?

Mummame2222 · 08/04/2024 18:26

Is he just busy?

sarahc336 · 08/04/2024 18:37

Well he doesn't sound a very nice partner op isn't that your biggest concern? 🤷🏻‍♀️ sulking if he doesn't get sex then being an arse

TwilightSkies · 08/04/2024 18:41

So he’s sulking ALL the time?
What do you get from the relationship?

AtrociousCircumstance · 08/04/2024 18:43

He’s obviously an arsehole. He’s showing you who he is. How many times does the cycle have to repeat before you accept who he is? A nasty douchebag who pressurises you for sex with sulking and negativity and then doesn’t see you as even worth responding to otherwise.

Dweetfidilove · 08/04/2024 18:48

Sulking? I bet that makes him appealing 🙄.

Is he equipped to a saucy text? He sounds like the type of person whose emotional/sexual bandwidth may be limited.

Alstreena · 08/04/2024 18:50

Why are you pestering him at work?

canyouletthedogoutplease · 08/04/2024 18:52

You're not being over sensitive, but you are wasting your time sending saucy texts trying to placate an emotionally stunted manipulative sulker.

Why are you pestering him at work?

Pestering him? Behave, she's texting her husband, not yours.

Isn't he supposed to be working?

I don't text my husband at work, as he has a responsible job.

perfectcolourfound · 08/04/2024 19:01

So he sulks if you don't have sex, and he's an arse if you do.

Is there anything nice about him?

You deserve better.
