Couples counselling online

Husband and I are going through a rough patch and looking at couples counselling (and possibly individuals too) to hopefully help us through. Can anyone recommend an online counselling service?

Therapist here! Search the BACP or UKCP for a reputable couples therapist 😊

Thank you @Question10 that’s really helpful advice

@Question10 sorry to keep @ you! Could you tell me if you would recommend a separate therapist for individual counselling alongside couples or could we use the same person? Thanks

I don't know the rules in the UK but where I am this should be all different therapists.

Thank you, that makes sense

Here in the UK too.
Look at reviews etc and always, always interview your therapist, qualifications tell you that they are qualified to do the job but you may not gel with them.
It's also important to work on yourself in your own personal therapy so you have a voice in couples therapy.

Question10 · 08/04/2024 17:51

@JollyPollysjolly no problem. It would be with a separate therapist to your couples therapist. And you would need separate individual therapists. It might be best for you to both start accessing your individual therapy first and then look into couples counselling a little further into your journey. Your personal therapy might even help with your relationship anyway.

Absolutely agree with this.
I have done both individual therapy and couples' counselling.
I would definitely start with individual therapy for both of you and then down the road try couples' therapy.
Individual therapy is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I only wish I did it much earlier.

Good luck OP!
