Does age difference matter?

I've started seeing someone almost 10 years my junior, and I must admit it does worry me a tad. Its not because of his personality, he seems very mature, its just the feeling that the odds are stacked against us at the outset. I want to feel optimistic about it, but I do find it difficult.

I know many men have no worries about going out with much younger women. Why is there this difference?

Any views, is age just relative/just a number? Should I just try and ignore it, or be wary of it?

I think it depends on how you both act. My DH is 35 going on 95 and I am 43 going on 21. But we get on fine, I don't really even think of him as younger unless I mention for example a kids tv programme I used to watch and he answers I don't know that was before I was born sort of thing.
I've never been bothered about the age thing, if you feel comfortable about it go for it, if it worries you then it ain't gonna work.

Don't let the age thing put you off, Bobbins. Go for it for the moment, with the usual cautions.
I'm really pleased for you and I think it will do you good.
