Ghosted

After three dates. Electric chemistry and connection.

I’ve been dating for a long time and have been ghosted before but this stings. I keep crying over it.

Looking for a pathetic hand hold x

Gotmytrombolese this is great advice and what I’ve been doing for years
but I got sucked in by this one
and first time I’ve been led on and messed around and ghosted - and actually hurt by it!
Feel like such an idiot

Hi, you are not alone, l had opened a similar thread. I saw him for 3 months, now ghosted and l have lost £500 pounds, he was a con man. I don’t know how l am going to trust the next one, as l will be looking for red flags.

ConfusedChristina · 14/09/2024 21:06

Until you have had someone do it to you, you don’t know it feels. I feel a complete fool. I now think he lied to me from day one…. It hurts

Wondering if I've been ghosted by the same guy! 3 dates in but I did sleep with him and then nothing. His communication was crap from the off which should've been a red flag but I gave him the benefit of the doubt because of his nice guy routine. He was a handholder and I think it was all part of his game.

ConfusedChristina · 15/09/2024 10:00

Space cadet, l also found communication not that good, could that be the first sign. Having written that, if someone was too clingy, that would be too. Dating really isn’t easy

spacecadet · 15/09/2024 11:27

I'm just wondering if he uses exactly the same playbook every time. Did you have a cinema date by any chance?

ConfusedChristina · 15/09/2024 12:04

I am not sure where you are, he is just outside Hartlepool

OverthinkingOlive · 15/09/2024 12:12

This is why I don't online date. People treat each other like absolute shit with no integrity at all, I'm not thick skinned enough for it. Even in real life someone would have to fall into my lap and convince me it would be worth lifting a finger for. Who can be arsed? After living alone for 20 years I'd have nothing to offer anyway. Honestly OP just try to enjoy life by yourself and be grateful you don't have to put up with the shit people post about on here. Relationships are far too hyped.

I blame Disney.

spacecadet · 15/09/2024 12:41

Ok so not the same guy but sounds like you've had a lucky escape and I do wonder if some of these guys are sharing tips about the 'nice guy routine' to get women hooked early. It just feels too manipulative to be a coincidence. Leaves us feeling stupid for falling for it but wow they're so damn convincing!
