Was this intrusive?

A new friend wanted to attend an event with me at our club. I said yes, then went ahead and registered in both our names and sent her the e-ticket with her name on it.
Now I feel it was creepy to do that - I should have let her make her own reservation. We've gone to two other events together at my clubs where I had to make the reservation, and I guess I was on auto-pilot with this one.
Should I send her a brief e-mail saying I hope it wasn't intrusive, I was on admin auto-pilot and I'm looking forward to the event? Or just leave it?
TIA

If you agreed to book it , no harm done. They can say if it was not appropriate.

FictionalCharacter · 24/02/2024 15:22

I don't see anything creepy at all in buying your friend the ticket and having it sent to her.

tomago · 24/02/2024 15:25

It's fine

m00rfarm · 24/02/2024 15:26

Can you explain why you think it was creepy? I don't actually get it at all. Certainly not enough to warrant a post on an international forum. Is there some sort of backstory?

TokyoSushi · 24/02/2024 15:29

What?! It's fine!

Mazuslongtoenail · 24/02/2024 15:29

I would do this for someone and don’t think it’s creepy at all. It’s efficient.

What you 'should' do depends on who's in charge. Who makes the rules for you?

Backstory that I've never found it easy to make new friends and I don't want to mess up.

Since she's also a member of the club, she could have clicked the link on her e-mail to register. I didn't go into her club account, of course, but I put my name down on my link for two people, as I would have done for a spouse or a family member. Since she is just a friend, and also a member, it felt a bit creepy and intrusive.

I am sure it is fine - if she had wanted to, she could have clicked on it herself - but she asked you. I would stop worrying!

Sounds like a normal thing to do to me 🤷🏻‍♀️
