Dealing with mood swings and anger after separation.

Hello

Recent separation after DH cheated in me.

I am really struggling with anger and extreme mood swings. How do I deal with this or get over it. He comes to see the children every day and just expects me to be super nice to him and I just can't he has ruined everything.

I have no advice but all I can say is if I was you I know I’d be feeling the same age feeling pure rage towards my ex no way could I play along nicely.

You don't have to be super nice to him but for the children's sake (and yours in the long run) you'd be much better being polite. Look up grey rock - basically you respond to him, if you need to at all, blandly and showing no emotion.

For your anger, if you can find a space where no one can hear you, go and shout and scream and rage against everything that should not have been done. You need to get it out. Or put your feelings into packing up his stuff if that needs doing; cleaning that cupboard that held his stuff and soon you'll be ready to make your space it how you want it without his shite in it.

I couldn't understand why I was crying so much when my abusive and cheating husband left - I couldn't stand him by the end. I think it's all part of the process of the life change. You need to go through it. If talking on here helps, do so, we're here Flowers
