My boyfriend and I are currently expecting our second child . Due to a personal situation he does not live with me and lives 2 hours away because of this and the fact he works different shifts every week he currently only comes down every other weekend for one night .Basically just wondering if anyone knows would he be able to stay over for the 2 weeks when he gets paternity leave when our baby is born (not every night but even just 3 or 4 nights and then go home and then come back the following week).
Travel is expensive as neither of us drive so it would be difficult to be coming back and forth every day so just wondering what the rules are on this .
any advice is much appreciated

My understanding is that because it's a temporary thing, for a specific defined period and purpose, you should be okay.

Good luck with your new one!

Its your household, not his. The reality is, I have not heard UC sending someone over to check your living situation unless it's very obvious you are playing the system. live and let it be, he doesn't live there as far as the law goes.

As bad as it sounds, I know people who live together and have not been married just because one person once to get the benefits(millons of people actually)

Agree with this and the fact that the majority of the working population are struggling to make ends meet right now.
