Christmas Annoyances

What makes your blood boil at Christmas? Mine has to be our grandchildren (all seven of them) thanking Grandad for thier Christmas presents, when Grandad has done ‘sweet FA’. I do all the planning, choosing, buying, wrapping. If I left it to him they’d get nothing or maybe a tenner shoved in their hands when he saw them next! Don’t get me wrong, cos he’s a brilliant grandad and husband, but ugh, the Christmas present thing drives me over the edge…..
Theres no solution, I just wanted to complain a little bit!

The amount DH spends on his relatives. It’s like he’s competing to spend more and do better than them.

My nephew and his children. I don't hear from them all year - to be fair I don't contact him either unless something comes up.

But come Christmas he'll make contact to "see how I am" and arrange the annual exchange of gifts. Which consists of a chunk of money from me for the children and some more for him and his wife.

In return I get a token box of biscuits and a bottle of wine. Last year I sent the money through and didn't arrange a meet up so didn't even get that.

And I never hear from the children to say thank you for the money. Ever.
