It would be interesting to know what the terms are of your current legal aid and why you need a break of 6 months if you simply want to change solicitors.
Rickman, contact the CAB and ask if you can have an appointment with their solicitor on Wednesday afternoon. They offer free 20 minute appointments. You'd need to check that the solicitor listed for this week doesn't come from Reeves & Co.
