How do you leave an unhappy relationship

...when you own a house together, have a young toddler and no local support?

I could only afford to rent and cover the cost of living if I were to pick back up full time hours, which I couldn't do because then I'd have no childcare as I couldn't also afford nursery fees. Our child wouldn't qualify for any free hours until the age of 2. Do I just stick with this situation till then? I can't believe I'm in a position to warrant asking this sort of a question.

Why is it unhappy? I have friends who have tried to sort out their issues one is currently in marriage guidance counselling but obviously some relationships cannot or should not be saved.

The house has to be sold or one of you has to buy the other party out at current market rate. What’s on the paperwork regarding the house because that makes a difference.
