What are the signs that a man has "checked out" of a relationship / marriage?

I think with affairs it might be clearer that they are going off to meet someone, or guarding their phone, changing how they dress or picking holes in you and your relationship so they can discard you when the time comes but if a man just "checks out" of the relationship he can be present and not having affairs but just not actually involved in the relationship anymore or family life if kids are involved.

What signs would you say were present if a man has checked out of the marriage?

People grow apart - it's life in many ways. As we get older, people are less accomodating - both men and women which has its difficulties.

Kids often ruin things too.

I'm not asking why though I am asking about the signs.

After years of financial and emotional abuse I can honestly say I have checked out of my marriage. My feelings lead to the following behaviour, I don't see him in my long term future so avoid any discussions about it. I am no longer affectionate, I avoid any kind of physical contact, I'm more relaxed in a way which sounds weird but I've made my decision that I will not 'end up'with him,and so am putting in place the practical steps to allow me to leave, I don't care enough to argue about the small things that used to annoy me.
Everyone is different but that is def how I feel so how I'm acting towards him.

I'm in the exact same boat after DH begged to work on the marriage. It's like he hates me. I figure I'm going to have to be the one to actually end this misery. Not straight forward with 3 under 5.

Contempt. This was the main one for me, his tone changed. One night he called me a "prick" and the venom in his voice was a marked change, it wasn't a joke.

Spent all evening scrolling on his phone, started exercising but wouldn't let me join him, delaying coming home from work, no affection, impatient, avoided family time at weekends.
