Breastfeeding no libido

I’m 8 months into breastfeeding, and since weaning/me going back to work baby wants to suckle at my boobs all night. If I take my breast away she wakes up screaming. I’m so dehydrated, and my libido is at zero, am unbelievably dry ‘down there’ and it’s really affecting my relationship. Any advice?

It's really tough, I remember this well. Do try and drink plenty water as it's so easy to get dehydrated and then you feel even more tired and wiped out. When you say affecting your relationship, is your partner being difficult about it?

Reverse cycling (feeding more at night) is super common when you first return to work, it should settle down again in time. You're also bang on for the 8-10 month sleep regression, which again should pass.

In terms of relationship advice: your partner needs to grow up and realise that you're not an object whose sole purpose is to service them. Libidos can drop temporarily for myriad reasons: stress, tiredness, illness, menopause, pregnancy, breastfeeding, bereavement, busyness, relationship issues. Do they plan to sulk every time?
