So here is the issue. It’s been going on for years and keeps getting brought up. DH and I married nearly 20 years. 2 DD 18 and 15. I nod off on couch all the time after I sit down. We can be watching Tv / film whatever. As soon as I sit I nod off. DH wakes me as it’s early - about 8:30 - 9 or so. I have understood thyroid and meds checked correct for blood - tested recently. How do I stay awake? Other than taking pro plus! Background info : I get up at 6. Make packed lunches. Walk dog before taking DD to school. Work full time and do all washing, cooking and house cleaning. Jobs like wash car / gardening we share. DH also works full time and 1 in 3 weekends additionallly. Is this normal? Who else has this issue? Feel like a bad wife!

And there's nothing like sitting on the sofa with a belly full of food in an evening after all the chores are done to make me feel ridiculously tired.

What's the issue?
If you said I get up at 8 and fall asleep 10.30- 11.00 nobody would be telling you to get anything checked health wise???
If DH wants you awake later to keep him company tell him to take over morning chores and you have a lie in

I’m an early riser (through choice these days, I naturally wake early) and I start to feel very sleepy at that time. I do have low ferritin though and I sleep in the day on the weekend, always fall asleep on the sofa early afternoon if not busy so I go to bed for an hour or so now weekends only (work Monday - Friday). No husband to moan, just teen kids who are doing their own thing. The dogs quite happy about it, we snooze together!
