Dressing up requests

Sorry for the name change..!

Just wondering how your partner would react if you asked him to dress up as Darth Vader one night?

Is it really odd? We have been talking about doing things a little differently for a change and I'm dying to ask him to do this but don't want to sound like a wierdo!

Opinions appreciated.

He can only say No. You are not a weirdo. ENjoy!

FattyChick · 26/02/2008 20:52

My friend likes her DH to dress up as a Doctor she bought the uniform on eBay for him.

Furball · 26/02/2008 20:56

is his lightsaber upto the task? remember he wouldn't be able to say 'only if you dress up as princess leah' as she is his daughter!

joking aside - can't do any harm to ask, probably be abit of fun.

southeastastra · 26/02/2008 20:57

mine would do it, any excuse

SheherazadetheGoat · 26/02/2008 20:59

you can get darthvader masks in asda that do the voice thing. that would drive you wild!

madamez · 26/02/2008 21:00

Depends on your partner, really. Is he the sort of bloke who likes to try different things in general? Is he remotely adventurous in the boudoir or a whip-it-in-whip-it-out-and-wipe-it-on-the-pillowcase?
The best way to approach the subject is probably to ask him if he has any fantasies he wants to try (and hope he suggests a Princess Thingy from Stark Trek - the Carrie Fisher one rather than you dressing up as an Alsation.)

skyatnight · 26/02/2008 21:05

WIIWIOAWIOTP - Is that a new acronym, Madamez? Starkus Trek?

To the OP, I don't see why he would be offended. It is just a bit of fun, isn't it?

FattyChick · 26/02/2008 21:15

lol at Madamez saying "whip-it-in-whip-it-out-and-wipe-it-on-the-pillowcase". That had me in stitches, maybe because it sounds liek my bloke .

redredrose · 26/02/2008 23:20

he can only really say no, I don't know what my dh would say if I asked him to dress up would be fun though

lol, reminds me of something from years ago...not me (honest, it was a friend)

her boyfriend wanted to dress as david bowie in his ziggy stardust garb she was to lie on the bed, ready and waiting, while he climbed up and jumped onto her from the top of the wardrobe, lol
(man who fell to earth, maybe?)

i seem to remember she actually legged it instead, lol
