So ex has never been helpful when it comes to parenting, even while we were together, lazy and just about himself.

He has never attended one appointment for DD, appointments for autism, audiology appointments, parents evening with nursery (or just contacting nursery in general). He even got an unqualified speech therapist, she isn’t a speech therapist just done sen training in another non English speaking country, to do therapy with her without informing me (informed me 3months later) all off the advice of his current partner. Gone for a weeks holiday with the gf but can’t attend an appointment coming up. Anyway today DD has said daddy is fun, he makes her happy.. this is came about because I raised my voice (not shouting but was firm). She is young and I know she doesn’t understand the situation at all, but I just feel so resentful towards ex.. not because he gets to go off and do what he wants but more so because in my dds mind he is this amazing person while I’m here actually parenting. He can’t even be bothered to call her in between contact every other week, he doesn’t have her during the week due to work.

Not sure what I’m looking for as I know it isn’t dds fault for feeling or thinking this way, of course she’ll like the fun person who buys lots of toys. Just needed to vent I suppose

@Catlover100 yep, he introduce dc to her I’m guessing august, or around this time. But I only found out last month from a comment dc made. oh I agree, it’s the reason I sent him an email before. Just so we know what’s going on in dcs life. I always knew he would do this, but thought no I wouldn’t like it done to me so let me send this email about new partners etc. My dc hasn’t met anyone from my side, as far as I’m concerned unless I see it lasting I don’t want dc to form a bond with someone to then never see them again.. I also want to ensure I trust them around my child esp because she is young. But here he is introducing and leaving them alone together.

He now has a new emotional support human to outsource his parenting duties to.

They are incapable of establishing meaningful attachment with their children so eventually the wheels will fall off. You are your child's safe place, and she will come to see it for herself soon enough.

Doesn't make any of it fair. It's despicable, really.

Well I’m even having dc telling me that daddy and new partner brought them a certain new toy and new trainers (both things I brought dc last week) but dc is like no mummy didn’t buy them. I’ve not pushed the issue, but even the fact they’re trying to convince dc that they’ve brought things that they’ve not.

to be honest @thefactsarefriendly I’m concerned that they’re trying to alienate dc from me. Dc lives with me (court ordered) but still just certain things dc has said this evening

Anyone have advice on stuff like this, with regards to things being brought - do I just say oh ok did they buy that for you, or do I correct and say no mummy got that for you remember. Think is the toy dc picked out with me, so they were there.. trainers they were there when I opened the package. Just along with the mum comment it concerns me
