ADHD, rage and violence

My stbx who is estranged from our dcs (their choice) keeps insisting his diagnosis of "mold ADHD" contributed to his rage and violence issues.

Is this a common thing then?

He attacked me after a 2.5 hour rage last autumn where I blacked out momentarily as he twisted my head.

ADHD or just a violent thug?

@OhcantthInkofaname exactly. Until the next time. And we will be expected to excuse violence as part of his condition again.

Nah, he's just a thug, and it will get worse. Sorry.

BlastedPimples · 19/05/2023 11:12

@Couldyounot we are getting divorced. He's out. Dcs don't want to see him. He will make things very difficult for us financially but that's who he is.

Totally possible to have adhd AND be a sociopath you know.

Doesn't really matter anyway. So long as you all keep tf away from him.

BlastedPimples · 19/05/2023 13:01

I don't know what a sociopath is.

Are you being serious?

No being violent isn't an ADHD thing.

Yes emotional dysregulation. Losing temper quickly but violence and abuse?

No.

I don't know what a sociopath is.

Maybe time to get on Google and search 'sociopath' then.

Or 'Traits of a sociopath'.
He could also, of course, be a psychopath. Or indeed have any other cluster b personality disorder.
