Hello,

Just wondering really ...
does anyone else's other half come home after a day at work... relay a play by play of there day. Sit down, and then you start to converse with them and they're like ' I need half an hour to unwind'.
It is generally only half hour but it still really p*ses me off.

Just wondering if I'm the only one who has a fella who does this ... Mine does this all the time and it drives me crazy....
I've also been at work and come home to do dinner etc....

Find it really entitled..

Do you have children? When my partner gets home he is often greeted at the door by our toddler who then gets cuddles/tickles ect. He then goes and gets changed/goes to the bathroom then comes down for tea. He might go up and play games later if he’s not working the next day 🤷‍♀️

I know someone whose DH used to come home and have an hours sleep. Before he had children and afterwards.

So if he is coming home, detailing his day then asking for time to unwind stop him. As he starts his download just say I need half an hour to unwind and walk away

I need 20 minutes to myself. My daughter now gives me the time that I need. I don't think it's selfish. I need this to be a good mum. I spend all my day being needed, e-mailed, asked to solve problems. But I don't have anyone to relay my day to because Im single.

Yeah that's called the 'man cave'. They need to go into it. Mine does that, I got used to it and just accept it now.

So he talks you through his entire day but when you try to speak he closes you down?

So you shut up and then make his dinner?

It's a really unattractive trait and will only get worse over time.

Have you tried doing it to them to see how they like it?
