Have you ever seen anyone from OLD in real life but not on a date?

Well, I just did. Recognised him
in the street and he walked past me. He lives 7 miles away and we just happened to be in the same place at the same time. I saw him and realised I recognised him then knew where from’ He’s actually liked me on OLD (a couple of months back) and I liked him back but he didn’t message (and, I’m sure I said hello) and I unmatched him within a day.

I don’t think he saw me as there were other people about and he was about to cross the road but I actually thought he was a bit 🤩. Quite surprised me tbh as it just shows that what someone looks like in a photo isn’t what they necessarily look like in reality.

Maybe I should look for him again. He actually lives in a village I go through on my way to work.

I’ve seen one man I had a date with, when I was out in central London.

The last time I was on Tinder I saw my NDN/friend’s ex DH on there, he’s quite vile and rude and she’s luckily happily remarried.

Yes! Several. The first time was in Sainsbury’s years ago and he hissed "Plenty of Fish" at me. My daughter was quite young and looked puzzled and said "what did that man say?" - I replied that he was asking where the fish were. She said "does he think you work here?!"

And once on a bus, the bus driver asked why I had ignored his messages. It was the longest journey ever. I was coming back from the hospital, to add insult to injury. He even remembered my user name and asked where it was from. I practically shouted "a Wagnerian opera" across the bus.

Update:

The man I saw in the street liked
me again and this time we got chatting. He seems really nice and close by. Good job and replies with long answers and no grammatical errors . I had deleted the app but loaded it up again so we came across each other again. I haven’t told him I’ve seen him in the street so I don’t think he saw me. He was actually better looking in reality than his pics.

See what happens but it’s early days!

I'd see my then boyfriend who was my first real love when I'm at my mum's house. He lives a few doors up from her. Broke my heart when we ended our relationship but we are still on friendly terms and chat when we see each other!

Saw a bloke ths other day who I distinctly remembered from.the first time I went in OLD. I was put off,despite the fact that he was my type physically because he favoured tracksuits and smoked. The other day I saw him with what can only be described as a dangerous breed dog. Definitely not my kind of man🙄

The first I had messaged but not met. Popped to my parents' and he was installing their solar panels. We didn't mention it!

I was once on an interview with a man I had messaged a few times and then decided not to meet. A teaching interview too, so a whole day together in an awkward room!

I've seen quite a few men from OLD out and about. It's usually the ones like me, who have been on for years and I keep seeing on Tinder. There have been a few glances towards me, where I know they recognise me too.

I have, I love in a small town and you can flick through and know the names of a lot of people.
There was one from a neighbouring town once who I recognised whilst out shopping. He was quite handsome but tiny.....with me as a 5'8 size 14 I realised it could have been awkward

Yes! I saw him briefly in a bar with his friends and recognised him from an app. I'd deleted them all but really wanted to speak to him so I downloaded it again and swiped till I found him...

Now we're married!
