Hubby wants more sex..

Racheldub · 09/02/2023 16:26

My hubby has been for want of a better word very horny the last few months. Like he is waking me up for sex.. now I like sex but not at 6am in the morning... although I can see he does! With kids and work it's hard to find the energy. Anyone else experienced same? We are both mid 40's with three kids below 10.

I font want him to feel neglected but also like my sleep!

Everyone else probably already knows this but I recently found out that some men are mostly horny in the morning because it’s when their testosterone is high.
My DH is usually most up for it in the morning and much less so in the evening. It’s doable but he definitely has a preference and I’m totally sure that’s why. Mid forties too.

I think you need to record him and report him to the police for harassment and undue pressure.

Oh good heavens , get a grip

Duckingella · 09/02/2023 20:24

I personally wouldn't mind but that's my relationship and what I'm comfortable with although we'd both prefer the sleep at the moment,if I said I'm not in the mood/don't want to then he wouldn't pressure me.

Testosterone levels are higher early morning but that's not an excuse to pester someone for sex that doesn't want it.If you've made it clear it's not what you want in the mornings then he needs to respect that.No one owes anyone sex.

Joey69 · 09/02/2023 23:40

in principal I don’t think there is anything wrong with him expressing that he would like more sex in the relationship, there are plenty of threads on this forum from women who say would like more sex in their relationships.

But waking your partner up at 6am ( of either gender) is certainly not the way to go about this

Racheldub · 09/02/2023 23:42

Thanks for all the responses. Even the strange ones! Yeah I will talk to him and see what we can do. Maybe a 7am shag might be better! If only he was younger he wouldn't last as long...never thought I would say that!😉

Being woken up/morning sex would be anathema to me too OP

OldFan · 10/02/2023 00:00

@Racheldub Only do it when you want it, and he doesn't get to wake you up if you don't like that. x

Stop

I'm wanting the same thing, but this is what scares me telling my wife. It seems unreasonable to want more sex, but how about the other side , it's probably really important to him.

What else would you suggest he does, what if he said as he wasn't getting enough at home could he find it somewhere else, that would be wrong too.

What's the best solution to this? Just accept the lack of sex and be annoyed by it.

Have a wank maybe?

Choconut · 10/02/2023 12:21

Seems you're much more concerned with his feeling then he is about yours. The idea that you might be neglecting him because you don't love being woken up at 6am for sex is worrying. It make you sound like a people pleaser with poor boundaries IMO.

needhelp1970 · 10/02/2023 12:30

So is sex not an important part of any relationship, if this was the woman asking would the responses be different?

:-)

MissedthePointAgain · 10/02/2023 12:35

I believe that posh people keep their potatoes in sex. So I suggest you send him to Harrods if he wants some more, they'll have them there.

IVFNewbie · 10/02/2023 12:43

I like nothing better than being woken up for sex. But then, I am a man.

PigTableManners · 10/02/2023 13:11

I would absolutely hate being woken up for sex. The only time I might not mind is if I was able to go back to sleep but with children there is no chance of a lie in. In the olden days, we could wake up, have early sunrise sex, doze off, wake up have sex again. I prefer sex in the evening, children asleep, we had a couple of hours to ourselves talking or whatever. Morning sex is rushed with children to look after.

As do I! But im a women

OldFan · 11/02/2023 17:21

Some people might like it, a lot will hate it. Whether other people like it or not is irrelevant if OP doesn't like it.

random9876 · 11/02/2023 17:54

I just think you need to work out what you would like and have a conversation!

I was going to say exactly the same thing except with a swear word.

SunshineLoving · 11/02/2023 18:14

He shouldn't be waking you up. That would just annoy me. How can you possibly be turned on when you're woken up suddenly?

It's not just about the act of sex if you know what I mean. You're husband and wife so sex is more than just sex. It should be meaningful. I would be really turned off if he wanted quick sex all the time and didn't care whether you really wanted him. You're not an inanimate object.

I get that's he's horny but he needs to remember that you have feelings too.
