Are We Dating the Same Guy?

There’s a thing in the Times today about a Facebook group called “Are We Dating the Same guy?” where women post photos of their boyfriend and ask if anyone knows if they have any red flags.

I can see this is useful to find out if your new boyfriend is actually going out with loads of people or if they are a total fuckwit (has a pattern of endlessly ghosting, borrows lots of money). Perhaps it’s a bit hard on people where things just didn’t work out.

What do you think?

I’m in one of these groups for the area I live in. it’s an eye opener but the group has really strict rules and is heavily moderated.
I think it’s good resource. Lots of men go unnoticed, it’s only the small amount of cheating or abusive ones that get picked up, usually because they are prolific on dating sites that they have spoken to so many people.

What's the name of the fb group?

“Are we dating the same guy” followed by whatever city or area you live in.

I understand from a moral point of view that it’s not ok if someone is cheating etc. But I’m surprised it’s allowed, posting photos of individuals without their permission. And 2 sides to every story etc. I checked out my local group last year and felt uneasy about it.
