I’m relatively new to Facebook my husband has had a Facebook account for many years. Anyway tonight I was scrolling on my news feed and I saw a post he liked. ( I don’t usually see anything he has liked on fb) It was an ad for a romantic/sexy air bnb. It is in the same town as a sex shop (which also offers extras, swinging etc) he’d mentioned numerous times. Am I being ott to think this is really weird? I keep thinking maybe he’s been with someone else or maybe I’m reading too much into it! I mentioned it to him tonight and he said he must have liked that ages ago but then why would I only be seeing it now?

It can be from ages ago, PlayStation comes up for me sometimes as suggested and will say liked by x,y,z. I've been seeing it for months so doesn't necessarily mean its recent that they liked it.

But there must be a reason you're feeling uneasy about it?

He might have liked it years ago, these things just crop up on Facebook. I don’t think it’s strange. Sounds like you should probably step away from Facebook already.

It just seems like too much of a coincidence !

Not really… liking an air bnb in the same town as a sex shop is actually pretty vague! You are clearly looking for reasons to be suspicious here OP

It sounds like you already don't trust him. This is a pretty random thing to be suspicious about it. It could've popped up ages ago and he (accidentally or on purpose) liked it. Most of us like hundreds of random things a year I'd say.

Facebook marketing logarithms will suggest all sorts of things based on previous search history. Something vaguely "sexy" in the same location as something "sexy" he looked at in the past is going to be thrown at him whether he likes it or not. That's how internet advertising works. I wouldn't read too much into it, OP! Look at the "Predictions" section in this explanation.
