Talking phases

Hello

Been speaking to someone for just under 2 months, conversations are great and we message daily, send pics. We haven't met, even when it's planned it fizzles, and he says we will meet. What should I do? I've been tempted to just go silent, but then that won't solve anything. His reasons are, he has a lot going on right now. Should we have met by now if there was a potential future?

You should have met in the first two weeks unless you are happy to have an online friend only. Even then he may not be what he claims. Watch Catfish on TV.

I'll take a look, he has FaceTimed me and we've had phone calls. But you're right, it is starting to feel like an online friendship

2 months chatting and not meeting is too long if you're looking for an actual, in real life, relationship.

You say even when you planned to meet it fizzled and he came back with the lame excuse of too busy. Why's he on a dating site then? If he's too busy to, you know, date?

Time to let this one go OP.

I hear you, previously I meet within the first couple of weeks hence why I was starting to think if there was more to it than just being busy 🤷🏽‍♀️

Talked to someone for 2 weeks once before meeting them and having zero interest. Having to end a pseudo-relationship was embarrassing enough after 2 weeks.
I'd wonder what he was up to in this case. Married, conman, trolling timewaster seem about the only options to me.

That's my issue, in reality not liking one another. It's all great texting and talking over the phone. Think it's time for an ultimatum...

Just block and move on.

He's likely some bored married guy playing around online.

zinniamittens · 27/12/2022 23:28

You're right! Seems to be really selective with the questions that he wants to answer. Think it's on to the next one...

Selective answering is never a good sign, he's avoiding the truth.
2 months is too long, I think he's wasted enough of your time.

zinniamittens · 27/12/2022 23:41

Yes! Thinks he knows I've clocked on. So he has tried calling me and, replied blandly to the question I had to ask twice 🙃

Sounds like he's in a relationship

zinniamittens · 27/12/2022 23:54

Hmm.. well one of the main reasons we couldn't meet was because he has an ankle injury and was recovering. 45 mins ago I got a picture sent by himself on the treadmill and, he told me he went sparring today and yesterday with a load of xxxxx's. So when I questioned the ankle, he completely ignored that question. I then asked if he has female friends, again ignored to eventually saying "yes I do"...

Oh good grief he's a timewaster. My friend's been chatting with someone online for months who's allegedly a model from Florida (or Las Vegas, I can't remember). First zoom call dropped. Second one he had to cancel as he slipped on the catwalk. Next one cancelled because the fall gave him concussion...
