14 months of sleeping seperately due to DH snoring

Dh is a horrific snorer. I've suffered it through the years but it has gotten worse as he has put on weight. He said he would lose some weight & his snoring would lessen and until then he'd sleep on the sofa as it was so disruptive to me & the kids. 14 months have passed & I honestly hate how it is now. Nothing has changed at all. I hate going to bed alone every single night & feel like it is having an affect on us. He has just started a new healthy eating programme so hopefully that helps.
I've said it numerous times how sad it has made me but he is so practical he doesn't see it as a huge thing. He said he wants to get back to normal but needs to lose the weight.
At this stage I feel like we'll be like this forever & it's not something I want as a woman in my late 30's.
Am I being dramatic by neing annoyed by this?

No, mine is horrific with snoring. Wakes me up, keeps me up. I just kick him till he chnage a position. I swear vaping has made it worse

Separate sleepers due to his snoring here too. I love it and don't want him back! But am a bit sad that he's never done anything to investigate treatments.

Yeah, you are a bit.

You’ve told him you’re sad about it and lonely. He’s trying to lose weight.

What more do you want? I mean that genuinely - what do you think he should do that he’s not doing?

There are new proven options for successful treatment for snoring. Sommenwell sleep devices are medically proven to reduce snoring levels and laser therapy for the throat have proven to reduce and eliminate snoring. Sometimes it takes a combination of treatments and weight loss, but there is hope.

I’d love for us to have separate bedrooms forever, tbh – not currently an option but DP’s relentless snoring (and he does make efforts to curb it) and bed thrashing disrupts my sleep. I hate it and am so much happier when he’s not in the bed.

What is it you don’t like about the separate rooms? Is it the lack of intimacy and quiet time together and pillow talk? Can you not have that time together then he goes off to his bed, or you go to yours? Ie you still spend time together and have sex and talk, but once one of you yawns it’s time for beds.

We also sleep separate due to his snoring. He would never do anything about it, very selfish IMO.

We've slept separately for years. DW snores and is a restless sleeper. We get into the same bed on a regular basis for cuddles and sex - it's fine, better than losing sleep and being permanently tired.
