No fault divorce

We are going for a no fault divorce, we have just submitted the first set of paperwork. We know how we want to divide assets but I am concerned that if we have to use separate lawyers they will look to interfere with it. We are both in total agreement, there is no hidden agenda from either of us. Has anyone had experience of a smooth no fault divorce with minimal interference?

You don’t have to have two sets of lawyers. You can write up your agreement and take it to a solicitor, who will make it into a consent decree that would go to the judge for approval/signing.

Hi - you can consider this service which deals with one facilitator and one solicitor to draft the consent order. Hope this helps not hinders!

I saw a 30mins free consult solicitor - he recommended submitting the form ourself for £593 and then if we are in agreement with the finances (and children) then complete the D81 form ourselves and he would do the consent order so about £500 for that. No need for 2 lots of solicitors
