AIBU to not want to work for my DH

i help my DH with his business. A couple of years ago he got a business partner and made me a proper role in the company as he said I didn’t have enough to focus on at home.
the work has become so much I don’t even have time to workout or spend time doing things I enjoy.
he won’t let me leave this job. Which seems weird. If it was any other job I’d quit. I feel trapped and bullied by him.
help!

First off you need copies of all financial information to do with the company.

He is financially and coercively abusing you.

He is committing real crime.

You need to call Womens aid urgently.

You have a salary, which HE controls.

That is a crime.

He is a very bad controlling man who is using you as a work horse.

This is very serious.

You need to get legal advice.
You could also walk into a police station.

His controlling YOUR money, is now a crime.

He’s totally wrong to question every penny you spend and he needs to employ sufficient staff ti cope with the work…
…but most people have to work to support their lifestyle. You actually sound like you have a pretty flexible working arrangement ie school hours with some additional working from home to make up to full time hours.

How much does he pay you? Is it reflective of the hours and skill level of the job?
What would you do if you did leave? He sounds like he wants/needs you to contribute to the household finances. Would you be open to getting another job and do you think that you would be able to find one that paid similar and with school friendly hours?

Maybe just find another job and put in your notice.
