So dp moving in soon and has sleep apnea and has had a CPAP machine for a while.
When it works I cannot hear him snore at all & the snoring is like a fog horn if not, you can hear him
Through the floors! I'm quite a light sleeper takes me a while to go off and I'm
Worried we won't be to sleep together when we do move in 😭
Is it
Right that when it's on his face correctly he shouldn't snore at all ?? Any advice would be welcome
Thankyou

When it’s on his face correctly, you shouldn’t hear anything.

I’d think twice about this. My biggest regret is not buying a house with a spare room. DH snores so loudly it’s ridiculous. He had a referral to a sleep clinic but it’s not until the new year. It has caused so much resentment. He snores and wakes both himself and me up. I only get an unbroken night’s sleep if he sleeps downstairs on the sofa. I feel amazing those next days! Which he is disappointed by as he sees it as a rejection of him. It is - but if he didn’t snore or wake me up, there wouldn’t be a problem, would there?! And then tiredness leads to grumpiness and bitterness. Not a nice place to be.
You know what you’re getting into. I wouldn’t go there!!! DH didn’t snore
like this until the last year or so - just when the DC had finally all started sleeping through the night! So ten+ years of broken nights with babies and little ones and now he starts. It’s enough to make me need a new patio!

I thought this. Thanks

@LindseyHoyleSpeaks we have been togther a few years now and he's always slept in another room anyway ! And he had
To have a sleep monitor and they gave him the mask and it does work when he wears it properly! But if it comes down to it we would have to sleep separately for ever I don't see it as a bad thing as lots of ppl still have loving successful relationships this way! Not ideal but wha can u do.
Xx I hope he gets some help x

Bose Sleep Buds saved my sanity with snoring husband. I am a horrifically light sleeper, and these have changed my life. Expensive, but worth it

My DP uses a CPAP for his sleep apnea and it's stopped his snoring, occasional ones slip through but rarely. It's wonderful.

I listen to white noise on Spotify with my earphones all night next to my snoring DP. I don't hear a single thing. Takes a few tries to find one with the right frequency so that you don't hear anything.
