AIBU to be upset that my boyfriend was looking at a photo of a random girl in a bikini while he was next to me in bed, where I could clearly see his screen?

I questioned him and he immediately got defensive and said I must be upset because I'm on my period!

I don’t care what he looks at when he's alone, but I don't want to see him looking at slim blonde girls in bikinis when I'm right there... it seems disrespectful to me 🤷

The comment about 'being on your period' suggests he IS actually 14. I've never known an actual grown up say that. I have visions of The Inbetweeners in my head.

How mn works is everyone gives their own opinion on a situation. Based on their own experiences/what they would do in any given situation. The op then gets to read other peoples responses and make her own decision.

The period comment is really juvenile, and looking at bikini girls while lying next to you is pretty stupid, but fuck me, some of these comments!
Btw how old is he? Many of us were immature bellends once, and some of us actually turned out okay.

I think sadly this type of behaviour is becoming much more normalised but I do think it’s disrespectful that he was looking at those pictures. However saying you were upset because you are on your period is much more disrespectful.

There is not enough context to give a considered answer, where did this picture originate from? But if a boyfriend got annoyed about what l was looking at, l would consider it controlling and l don’t want to go down the double standards road.
