If you're amazing you won't be easy, if you're easy you won't be amazing. If he's worth it he will wait. If he doesn't wait... he's not worth it x

Really? Like what?

Oh FFS OP what happened to healing and looking after your children?
I'm not caring what you do but it's not normal to have to be in a relationship with a man is it? It says something about a person.
That's why people seek space.

I don’t think that quote is very inspirational.

I came across this recently and loved it though!

God that quote is vile.

What a disgusting way to talk about humans beings.

Frith2013 · 11/09/2022 10:22

What an awful quote in the OP.

SoupDragon · 11/09/2022 10:26

what is it about that quote that makes you think it is at all "inspirational"?

LadyLolaRuben · 11/09/2022 10:30

Imagine your best self and turn up as her every damn day

I think the quote is fine and especially good for younger women who are not married and are starting to think they have to compromise to have a long term relationship. And it’s human nature to want to share your life with someone. It’s not Surrendered Women shit.

I know many of us are twisted old trouts like me, who think men are a waste of space.

Men, you’re not worth it. My quote I just made up.

Crack on @OrangeFlowersAreLovely you’re doing fine.

The quote seems to be of the same ilk of "if you can't handle me at my worst you don't deserve me at my best", which I personally think is dogshit, because it's telling people to tolerate being treated badly.

Also eyebrow raised about the "easy" and the men waiting part. Seems a sex-shaming thing.

Plus if you're not fit to be in a relationship, you shouldn't expect people to wait for you to be, you need to work on yourself and then look around.

Mermaidwaves · 11/09/2022 11:51

A very simple one but for me

"Its better to be alone than with a man who doesnt care for you completely"

Fairly self explanatory I know but it's taken me a long marriage and some FWB experiences to work this one out, hopefully most people have the sense to know this already.

"Fuck y'all. All 'a y'all. If y'all don't like me. Blow me.

I agree even though I’m a twisted old trout too - the men in my life are lovely so some are worth it!

I think when I was going through my Bridgette Jones phase my goal was that old advice to ‘marry your best friend’ and I did! He’s still an amazing husband and father 30 years on…
