Child's Friends Parents/ my neighbour

I don't really know where to start with this, but I'm completely at my breaking point with it.
So my neighbour moved in around 2 years ago, and she has a little girl the same age as my twins. They get on really well but, the child is very well mannered, or she can be quite nasty.
What I'm trying to say is, that my children aren't angels 24/7 but when they have done wrong, I tell them and discipline them. I've spoken to her mum so many times about this child's behaviour, not in a nasty way, but she just doesn't take it in, her child can do no wrong! Like I'm constantly watching them play, her mum is no where to be seen!
My other neighbours have said they have seen they way she is with my twins and they don't like it either!
I've had panic attacks at work over this. I don't know what I'm suppose to do anymore :(

Why are you letting them carry on seeing her then?

forrestgreen · 05/09/2022 19:50

Are they playing in your garden
Do you send her home when she misbehaves
Do you tell her off or leave it to her mum

tiggergoesbounce · 05/09/2022 19:55

Do your twins like playing with them?

You have to show your kids that its ok to take a step back from unkind people.

If you want the neighbours child to learn as soon as she is nasty, send her home. But this isnt your responsibility, her parents should be showing her the way with this.

The child needs to know her actions will cause a reaction, unkind leads to not playing.
But yes i hate parents who "dont see" their kids being unkind, too lazy to be arsed to teach them.

How hold are they? Where are they playing?

The obvious answer is to say don't let them play together anymore, unless there is some reason you feel unable to stop them?

Mummy2mybear · 05/09/2022 20:08

How old are the children ? What has this little girl done that has caused so much upset ? Honestly if it's causing you to have panic attacks just don't let your children play with her.

I've had multiple conversations with the mum, they are 5. As soon as shes not nice I send her home. The reason they still play together is my kids adore her!
I've tried to keep them apart but the coursed a huge argument with her mum. She started to watch her a bit more, but that only lasted maybe a week tops! I'm just going round in circles!

Stop them playing together. Your kids are 5, they will get over it v quickly. Take control of the situation

Oysterbabe · 05/09/2022 21:54

What does the child do?

britneyisfree · 05/09/2022 22:02

Ban her from your house. Who cares if her mums upset kmt
