VR Chat

Hi I;m new here and was wondering what views people have on using a VR Oculus headset for chatting online to make friends.
My fiance has acquired one of the so called VR's and is now chatting most nights for at least 6 hours at a time. This is only done after I have gone to bed and then shuts the door to the living room. (Oh yes and he normally drinks alcohol as well while on VR)
This has been going on for a few months now and its doing my head in. Directly asked him about it and was very defensive about it saying that its just harmless chat and having a laugh.
I told him that I do trust him and that hasn't changed but he was just saying 'No you don't ' and then continuing to reply with that i'm making him feel guilty now for just having a good time and a laugh with strangers, who are now friends.
Also told me that the room that he joins is a gay room and they are the most fun, apparently.
So am I right in thinking that he is emotionally manipulating me so I then feel guilty for having an issue with this?

Would love to hear any advice :)

Hard to say, depends what your relationship is like. My DH likes playing games like WOW and Battlefield with people from all around the world, with headphones on so that he doesn't disturb me.

So your fiance choosing to do this when you're in bed might mean that he's considerate, or it might mean that he's (at the very least) bicurious.

Is he considerate in all other aspects of your relationship? Like, would he make sure not to put on the landing light if it might wake you up?

VR is very hyper-real so it does add another level of "reality"/intimacy to the experience that is not really needed at a social/gaming level.
